HELP!!!! Malfunction indicator lamp

So today while driving down a freeway, i decided to randomly put my 04 TL onto the M mode, and shift up to 2nd gear and then i stepped up to the gas, until around 5000 RPM, i saw the mal indicator lamp flash about 4-5 times then it went away, i then put the car back to drive and proceeded. Right now i'm freaking out and i'm not sure what to do. Any tips or ideas? What should i do? is my car okay now that the engine light turned off ever since? HELP!

Must have been 4 or 5 years ago, but our '04 did it once after I accelerated hard to merge into a highway, never came back.
When you were in manual, did the rpm's reach max? If so, that can trigger the MIL.

Here's something that was posted a while back.

Also just wanted to add that the MIL will be energized whenever the pcm detects engine rotation that isn't consistent with the RPM's. When a cylinder fires, the computer knows how much the engine should advance with the current conditions, so if the expectation isn't seen, the MIL will light. This is why many get the all cylinder misfiring code. Not that all cylinders are misfiring, it's just that because of the circumstances, the engine isn't rotating, or advancing in accordance with the logic installed.
Hope it's not too confusing, but just drive the car and if it reoccurs and the light remains lite, then address the problem.
