Help: Dead Battery, Jump start
Hello:
My battery is now dead and I tried the jump start. Here is the thing.
When the cable is connected as what i am told from the guide, the car's horn starts to ring. Cuz it was night, I tried to ignite for 30 seconds and the car which is the other end of this jump cable raised the idle. But I didn't succeed to ignite.
Is it true that the horn will start to ring when the cable is connected?
Can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks

And something more.
I can see the battery has + and - on it. But according to the user book, i should hook the - side to small nut to the left of the engine. Is it ok to jump start by hook the cable to the + and - on the battery directly?

I can see from some videos that the black cable which is connected to the - side of the working car should be connected to the "GROUND".
Does the ground mean any medal surface or nut from my dead car?
Thanks!!!!

Booster car off, hook up the red to positive on both the booster car your dead car, black to negative on booster car and attach the black to any heavy metal object on your car. Start the booster car and give it a try.
When the horn sounds, the alarm has been activated, so with the key fob, lock then unlock the doors.
