help: cracked rim

i woke up this morning to find my tire flat. i tried to air it and no luck, i checked the rim and found the inner lip to be cracked!
i was looking around and considering just ordering another rim that most likely isnt oem since they are half the price of what acura charges. is this a good idea? anyone order from any particular sites?

any help appreciated.

Check eBay for a used one? Or, if you're under warranty, maybe your dealer will help you out?

17" x 8" 114.3 x 5 offset is +45

Check out wheelsandcaps.com, a lot of BMW guys go there for factory rims. Also check out the black market section and ebay.

to which? The don't put the donut on the front wheel thing? Yeah, that's true. It's bad for the car. And the part about only using it to get to the tire place is pretty true too. You can probably get away with driving it for a few days, but the spare isn't designed to be a daily use tire.

There may be a place in your city that repairs rims.

And here's a thread on Houston rim repairs:

Yes, it should fit. They used the same specs for all 3G TL's.

What would be inconvenient is if you had a full size spare in there and were left with no trunk space. That's why the donut.
