Exclamation HELP! Check Engine code P0741 - Need advice

Alright I posted in this forum, because it probably gets the most attention, and yes I have already done research.

I just got a 2005 Acura Tl , 145k miles, and today the engine light came on for P0741, which, from my research, usually leads to people having to rebuild the trans.

Ok, the car is still shifting fine. I have read people have done complete flushes using type f fluid?, and replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches, as preventative maintenance. Is it too late for me to do this?

I also see people first say to change the solenoids, but have yet to see that solve anyones problem.

Any advice.?

The VSA light did not turn on, and thank you for the reply polobunny. I guess first step would be checking the atf fluid. What im really curious to find out if ANYONE has ever fixed this problem by replacing solenoid. Seems like 100% of threads lead to tranny failure.

I had this happen to my CL and drove it for couple month after resetting. 2nd time it came on car died lol.

I think your car is fine, just change the fluid and switches if you haven't.

Just to update this thread for potential viewers, the result was a bad tran, much like everyone else. In order to save some money I found a shop on craigslist that had a rebuilt one already and came out to 1300$ with one year warranty. Better then the 2200, qouted at 2 seperate places to rebuild. So yea.
