HELP! Car won't start.
Here's the problem. I went on vacation for 2 weeks and left the 06 TL in the garage at home. When I got back, the car doesn't start. So I pop the hood to jump the battery. HOLY MOLY... the positive terminal is corroded 3 inches above the pole. So I quickly grab a coke and wash it off. I was able to jump the car, but it wouldn't start again after I took it out for a spin.
Bigger problem: So I try to unscrew the battery from the car to take it to Autozone for tests and the damn screw and terminal broke off (as if the acid made everyhting turn to rust and wither to pieces)
My question is, "Is this covered under warranty?" More than likely, I'll have to call the Acura towing service because, obviously, I can't drive it to the dealer. How much out of pocket am I looking at VS. warranty coverage?
Anything would help at this point. Thanks

Well, after the new battery you need one of these, this is the cable that runs from the battery to both the starter and the underhood fuse box, got the price from AcuraOemParts.com
32410-SEP-A00 CABLE ASSY., STARTER 1 2006 TL $20.63
Not to bad to replace, about 3 nuts/bolts and a 1/2 a dozen clips...

06 TL 6spd. Navi/A-spec
Or there is a cheaper way if you dont want to replace the whole cable, just cut the positive wire down and install an aftermarket terminal it is fairly simple to install.

Well I'm back in business. Like Bluenoise said, it's covered under warranty. I had to call Acura Roadside Assistance for a piggyback to the dealer. Saw the tow hook port in the front bumper used for the first time. Kinda cool. They replaced the battery and the worn cable for free under warrant. Feels good to be driving again!
