Okay I need some serious help - PLEASE. My A/C about a week ago wouldn't work. I changed the temps, fan speed, everything. I was in a parking lot so I just started driving and hit a bump and bam cold air blowing. Well it has continued to do that - about 5 out of the 25-30 times I start my car a day. The car was at the dealer for about a week and they said they could never duplicate the issue. Does anyone have any clue what this could be so I could tell the dealer to "investigate". This is what is does...

Sometimes it comes on sometimes it doesnt. When I hit a bump if it didn't come on before it comes on then. On occasion it will blow VERY softly (even when on high speed) but will only blow like outside temp. air.

Any ideas? PLEASE help. Thank you all for your time and support. It's very much appreciated!

There is a switch or cable that can get stuck causing this, there was a Bulletin on it a long long time ago, the dealer can search for it and find it. BTW expect a lot of PM from guys here...

 

Had this problem often in my previous Acura's. It was always the blower fan motor. As the fan motor gets old, it losses it's ability to start rotating (bad bearings). I would hit the dash with my hand to get the fan motor started. But, even hitting the dash would not work after a while. I then had to relie on hitting a bump in the road to encourage the fan motor to start to spin.

My vote is that your Ac fan motor needs to be replaced.
