So last night I was pushing the car going around 130 mph on the freeway and all of a sudden a huge and loud pop happens and I look up to where the sunroof used to be and it’s not there. I don’t know what happened for it to just fall out from where it goes and if that is even possible. I’ve looked at the damage today and the entire glass and cover are just gone. When i push the sunroof button I can hear the motors whirring but of course nothing happens. I just want to know what I’m looking at in terms of replacing the entire assembly and glass.
Like zeta wrote, might be better option to go through used route, and would be best if you would find "pull your own parts" style junkyard and just replace the whole frame.
Thanks for the help I think I will go the used route and buy the entire assembly from a pull-a-part. I can’t seem to find videos on taking out the actual sunroof assembly. I seem to only see how to remove the headliner. Any thread on here that might have discussed removing the assembly or any videos you guys might know of.
Try taking the junk car on the freeway at 130 MPH, seems like an efficient way to remove the sunroof, just make sure you have a friend driving behind you to catch it
