Exclamation Help: 2008 TL warranty almost expiring !

Hi guys ,
i baught a 2008 tl with 48k few months ago from private seller, and now it has 49k, and the warranty expires in Aug 2012.
I have two isssues : the power steering makes a mild humming noise when I turn the wheel when parking, and when I switch gears on the freeway I hear a click, and it is not smooth. Im taking it to the dealership to have it checked out. Q: is there any other fixes that i should be aware of or should ask the mechanic about, considering the warranty is done in a month?
thank you all very much in advance !
Marc

Take my advise and do not under any circumstances let them go into your transmission. They did the 3rd gear TSB on mine and now the car does not drive the way I am accustomed to. I have gear whines in 2nd 4th and 5th gears at certain RPMs, and 1st gear does not always engage. I also have a case open with their client relations due to this. I have been w/o my car for about a month now. If you have a buddy that works on cars, do your work yourself. that way you can at least know it was done right.

Check your side mirrors to make sure they don't click when using parking assist, check for cracks on your compliance bushings, check your motor mounts.

Exclamation Thank you for replying

I took the car into the dealer and he said there is a slight slippage, and said i should bring it back tomorrow and he'll do a transm flush bec there may be some metal in there...wondering what to do, hope they dont make matters worse if they end up messing with the tranny.

The side view mirrors do click when i use park assist and when i go from (p) to (R) to (D) i feel the motor shaking. the car has 48k on it and it should not be doing this yet. Should these 2 problems be covered under the warranty? any other advice is greatly appreciated.
thanx

The mirrors should be covered by the warranty. Since you're within the 50k warranty you should try to get any rattles fixed as well.

He's talking about a M/T, not the A/T you have in the '08.
