Help!!!!
So I’ve been having problems with my TL, whenever I start it the car doesn’t start. It takes about 3-4 times then it will start up. I checked my starter , I’m thinking it’s the ignition switch. Really not sure.

You need to be more specific in the details in order for us to help you. IOW - help us help you. What year? How many miles? Does the engine turn over every time you turn the key? If the engine is turning over, it's not the starter. Are you seeing a flashing green key on the dashboard? This would indicate a security issue and your key not being synched with your car properly. My guess is because it eventually starts, that isn't the issue. You need fuel, air and spark for the engine to start - start there. Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to accessory mode? How old is the air filter? How old are the plugs? I could go on and on.....................

That's the cabin filter and long overdue (years???) for replacement. Go pull the engine air filter and I can only imagine its going to look the same. At the end of the day replacing both of these filters may not solve your starting issue but at least you will have knocked off two maintenance items.

It has times where it doesn’t crank but it will eventually start up. I’m thinking it’s the spark plugs this TL has 160,000 miles. Previous owner didn’t keep up on maintenance at all. So I’m going to check those spark plugs tomorrow asap.
