Headlight leveling
Headlight leveling
I have been searching but can not find the answer to my question. I was wondering if I could adjust my headlights so they are both the same height. I read somewhere that the driver’s side is lower than the passenger side so you don't blind people while you drive by.
Thats correct- driver side aim is a bit lower and in to the center to protect oncoming drivers.
The passenger side is aimed a little to the right and farther up so you can see the edge of the road lines and pedestrians
There is an aduster on the back of the housing- use a + screwdriver to engage the cam gear.
If not certain how high or how to do, have a headlight inspection staion do it for you in a few minutes- check the phone book yellow pages
New shocks or worn shocks can really thro the lights off the correct position, and when they are right- wow can you see.
Also recommend Kaixen 6000k low beam bulbs- blue with white tint- very nice!

There is a thread (in the 3G Garage maybe) that has Serivce Manual Scans of the Headlight adjustment. I believe it's measured at 25 feet out, but don't remember the height above the ground.
If the headlights are "stepped" so that on-coming drivers are not blinded, why do you want them the same height?

(if you still can't find them, follow your headlight position, and follow that upwards [towards the end of the engine bay]....the holes will be about 10 inches from the headlights straight.)

And seriously, as a fellow driver and potential victim, don't F around with the headlight aiming - these lights are BRIGHT. Those goofy a$$holes who d!ck theirs up so the car looks Cock-Eyed or Cross-Eyed should have their licenses revoked.
