having a hard time starting? **video inside**

well since we all know that the 3g TL has battery problems, i decided to get mines tested and it showed that my battery was near death so i replaced it with an interstate battery, during the testing, one of the techs told me that my alternator was not holding charge and that acura would take care of it under warranty. Im not sure what he meant by that because i dont know to much about cars ...well anyways, im not quite sure how my car is suppose to sound on start up so i made a video to see if this is normal or not...should i be worried?

Sounds exactly how mine starts up ... I have an '04 with 83k miles on it. Knock on wood, i never had battery issues .. i only had to replace the battery once at about 60k miles.

Its perfectly fine, the tech probably said that since your car is so new and the battery was already dead.

I had a problem starting the thing up and I got sick of it and splurged on a optima red top.

well it's a great battery but clearly the battery wasn't the source of the problem cuz I still have probs starting up. lame.

the TL's ULEV (ultra low emmisions vehicle) system tries to limit emmisions during start-up, thus causing extra starting time.

WDP are you a seafoam user yet? It will make your car purr like a 200HP sewing maching and increase fuel mileage on the trip

Its normal on modern cars with their tightly sealed engine area and higher temps the battery is exposed to, its lucky to get a full 3 years -4 is amazing on the battery life.

I think the tech may have said- your alternator is putting out right, but the BATTERY wont HOLD a charge- thats how the system actually works.
