Has anyone ever had this problem...?
It all started a couple of weeks ago, I was riding and all of a sudden my gauges tell me the passenger side door is open. So i pull over get out and close the door. When i got back in the car it still said the door was open although I knew it was closed. So when I got home I started messing with the sensor on the door that has a button that pushes in when the door closes letting the car know the door is closed. At first I thought it had went bad so I unhooked it and switched it and the driver side out to see if it would do the same thing on the driver side... it didnt. So its not the switch and all of the rubber pieces on the door panel that contact the sensor are in tact?! It seems my door isn't closing good enough.. although its closed.. if that makes sense.. any ideas? I've since just unplugged the sensor to make the message go away.. but this sucks 1. because Im dying to buy a set of the illuminated door sills but I dont want only three to be working..2's basically an ocd thing.. it bugs me... Sorry for being so long winded... any help at all would be appreciated.

Was it raining that day?
Stayed on.. Until I disconnected the sensor... Now my door light/ interior lights don't come on when the door is opened because of that... It's like the door isn't there really bugs me... It makes no sense to me. But every time I plug the sensor back up it does it, like I said it's like the door isn't closing good enough or something.

I thought about doing that.. and my next question may be stupid but adjust it how? as in move it up higher .. down lower?.. and does anyone have any clue about how much the sensor cost?

check the screw that connects the switch....the screw acts as a ground so if the screw is popped off the switch doesnt work....
if the screw is in place and still you getting this....switch the switch....

Remove the black cover to access the 2x screws. Loosen them a bit and move the fixed latch toward your interior all you need is 1/8 of an inch or so.
I still havent figured out the problem.. but I couldnt resist the door sills anymore .. talked myself into buying them.. maybe they'll serve as motivation to figure out whats wrong with this damn door

Honestly I think its the door switch or some wire that is touching ground and hence giving out the wrong signal....if you remove the panels to check i bet you will find the problem....
while all the panels are off, might as well install the sills

Idk what else to do besides buy another oem sill take off the illuminated sill and put it back on with some 3m.. but lord knows how much the oem sills cost and i guarantee they only come in sets..asked acktl05 no reply yet. Wow, and this has gone on for too long
I think the screw wasnt getting a good enough ground.. took the sensor off and cleaned the inside of the opening where the screw holds the sensor flush to the door. I also didnt get it super tight thinking maybe the door itself wasnt closing on it enough. Whatever it was its working like a charm now.. knock on wood

WOW i actually diagnosed the problem on the interwebs LOL
yeah the screw needs to get a solid ground for the sensor to work and hence the sills and the interior lights....
Can you superglue the sill to the bottom or jbweld or something else....I can almost guess the OEM sills come in a set of 4....it would be expensive to buy a full set of OEM when you just bought the set from super....ya know what i mean....

. I actually thought about glue already, but I think gorilla glue is the only glue that would do the job and if you know anything about gorilla glue you know it foams up when it dries, possibly making it stick up even further... permanently lol. So idk man, any other ideas?
I thought about that.. its a possibility.. they dont look too deep... buffers terrify me though man lol Ive seen the damage they can do, just had my side skirt repainted because of a buffer... I thought about rubbing compound too.. any suggestions swoosh.. i mean you did basically fix my door

LOL...if your not comfy with a buffer you can take her to a detailer and get it done for less than 20 bucks....
There is a guy in Kansas who works at a toyota dealership (fixing paint chips/etc) and buffed/painted my window visors....i bought em used and they had a lot of scratches and he practically took everything off....for both buffing and painting 4 pieces i gave him $100
