Has anyone else experienced this problem with there Acura TL?
I bought my 2008 Acura TL 3.2 used from a dealer called excalibur auto group. Anyway, it had 26,686 miles on it and now it has 45,000. The dealer said it was a repo looks like the guy didn't take good care of it and I won't get into detail. I live in the northwest temperature here never goes over 100 and I maintain this car meticulously. But for some reason the engine coolant is low?
It's never shown any type of problems. I even drove it 2,000 miles to Texas and it runs great really.
Could it be possible it's leaking coolant somewhere, or is that normal to be low on engine coolant.
I'm in the process of moving to San antonio tx another 2,000 mile trip if incase it is leacking would I be ok if I added coolant and be ok.

Where is the level? What type are you using? Are you measuring while the car is running? Car you measuring while the car is HOT? Are you looking for leaking? Answer these and we may be able to help...

Hey Crestwood
Actually the engine coolant is way below the minum mark, very little left?
I've never added coolant I called a Honda dealer they have the Long Life Antifreeze/coolant type 2.
Any idea what could it be?

I bought the car in November 21, 2009 and it was already low on engine coolant.
I'm heading to a Honda dealership to buy some engine coolant, the closest Acura dealer is 2 hours away. How can I find out if it's under warranty?

Mine will never hold the min level .. never has. If I fill it to min or max it will run itself down to just below min then it stays there.
Some cars do that .. some don't. I drive mine often over steep passes at close to 100F loaded and never an issue.
Try this .. when cold bring it to the max. level by adding distilled water then drive it. See if it goes back to the current level. If it does then its either going to find its own level or the pressure cap may not be holding pressure. If its not holding pressure then you should see it spitting on the ground usually when you shut it off.
