Gum on Seat!!!
Hey you guys, I don't know how it happened or who put gum on my seat but my friend accidently sat on gum and now its smeared all over my front passenger seat. Any ideas on how to get it off?
Have never needed to give it a try, but here are some products recommended:

In the leather seat I'd try the tape first before freezing it .. with the canned air your going to freeze the leather too and there is a risk of breaking it.
In fabric/carpet the canned air is the best. Needed is canned air , shop vac with crevice tool and a teaspoon.
Proceedure;
1) turn on shop vac
2) turn canned air upside down and spray the gum to freeze
3) immediatly scrape the gum with the spoon to turn it to dust at the same time vacuum it up.
Reason for the spoon.. if you use your fingernail you get frost bite. Been there...

I think the gum is too smeared to use the tape, I just tried it and nothing really happened. Should I try the Canned Air or do you guys have any other ideas? Maybe use GooGone?

I had the same thing happen to me in my drivers seat. It wasn't everywhere, but there was a dime sized smear of gum that freaked me out when I noticed it at the gas station. Needless to say, I drove home with a paper towel stuck to my ass...
When I got home, I ran inside & grabbed my can of "Honda spray cleaner/polish" from my "Acura Car Care kit" ($12 at my stealership). I sprayed some on a corner of a clean terry cloth, and wiped it onto the leather. It promptly rubbed the gum right off, and then dried to look like normal. I gave a second application with a clean corner of the towel just to be sure and it looked perfect.
The only thing I noticed is that the edges of the perforated holes in the black leather now look slightly darker instead of that whiteish feathery edge. I kinda think it looks better, and have been contemplating doing the entire seat. It's just so unnoticeable that I haven't given it a second thought until right now...

so just get a terry towel and put some wd40 on it and just rub it on the gum?
I'm not sure if it'll work but I'll give it a try, the gum is like smeared on the seat so I can pick at it or anything.
