Grinding brake noise

I've been having a problem on my car that I recently decided to fix (with you guys' help):
Every time I step on my brakes abruptly, i hear a heavy grinding noise. I currently have drilled and slotted rotors with very good brake pads. Currently, I'm thinking that this has something to do with my ABS. Any help on how to fix this??

what kind of brake pads?

and are you sure there is still meat on them?
ABS doesnt make a grinding noise...

however, an aggressive pad + drilled rotors might make a grinding noise.
if your pads are done, they could make a grinding noise.

mine is like a loud grinding noise..what kind of brake pads would you recommend to use with the drilled and slotted rotors? Maybe I could start from there.
