sorry if i place this in the wrong section but i need help..long story short i got in an accident and need some suggestions..

i wanna upgrade to type-s front bumper, maybe the rear also, but if i do the front.

1. will i have to buy the whole fog light kit from acura in order for it to fit the type s bumper?
2. do i need to replace my headlights also?
3. can i buy the cheaper fogs from like ebay? since i wanna put hids in them anyways?
4. will my base aspec lip fit on the type s bumper?

1. you can get accord fogs, they should be able to fit from my understanding
2. no you do not have to replace your headlights unless you are going for the complete type S look then yes you will have to replace your headlights
3. accord fogs should work ... i dont know about ebay fogs though
4. base aspec lip will not fit without some serious custom work ... probably would be better off just getting a type s lip

now to answer your question

1 for Type S, you have to change the bumper,cross bar and grill. fog lights you can go after market but i think the OEM ones are just fine the way it is.
2 you dont really have to but i would do it so you can have DRLS and the amber is shorter.
3 you can do aftermarket fogs but i would rather get the oem fogs and change the bulb
4 no your aspec will not fit. you can do 07-08 BASE aspec with custom fit or the Type S aspec kit

get the newer base TL front bumper that way you can have fogs and the base TL aspec will fit. get projector HIDs for the fogs not oem fogs from acura.

 

well i think imma just keep my front end because its still repairable, so what kinda fogs can i get to make it fit this front bumper?

 

not sure. do a search on the forum for some. i know i saw a few threads a while back where someone put in the projector HIDs for fogs.

 

well i have enuff insurance $$ to get a new paintjob, im gonna go with nbh w/ extra blue pearls...ppg paint, i dont think my previous painter used ppg...not sure
