you could try wet sanding it, or some 3M scratch remover...the best stuff ever made...and sees if it cleans it out

If wd40, acetone, paint thinner, etc. couldn't get this gunk off, then it's part of the lens now. Your only option is to wet sand the lens with grits 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000...and 5000 (if you can find it). After that rub it with a plastic polish compound to remove all the fine swirls. I already did this to both my outer lenses since they were hazed.

Remember, the 600 grit is to mostly chew away at that goop. Maybe 400 grit is needed. You will know when you try it. But make sure you use all the grits on the whole inside of the lens because you cannot just work on that small gooped up area. Use a water spray bottle to wet sand and keep it wet at all times. After you use your last grit (3000 or 5000) you will notice that the lens is hazed. Do not panic. The plastic polishing compound has even a finer grit in the cream to clear it all up and make it brand new. Be patient and good luck.

If those ribbed areas are affected I think you are SOL. If you wetland them it will remove the ribs and will most likely look like crap. Go on eBay or a local junkyard and pick up another headlight.

Get a headlight polish kit and polish them. You can get them at most all auto parts stores and walmart.

Try Blue Magic polish and a small buffer. Should bring it back.

That plastic polish is shit...go to the body work section...(where the bondo is) of any autoparts store, and pick up a bottle of 3M scratch remover...i been using it for years on the body and lights works faster and better than everthing else out there, its like using a 3000 sand paper. I've used plastic polish from just about every company out there and it doesn't come close to 3M, as for the wet sand kit the one from mothers seems to work best, then used the 3M scratch remover, and reseal the light, blue magic makes one seems to work pretty good
