Oxygen Sensor Replacement Question

Oxygen Sensor Replacement Question
Hey guys, My check engine light, VSA, and /!\ light came on the other day. The car was very hesitant with it's acceleration and kind of sputtered along. After a restart, only the CEL stayed on and the car pretty much returned to normal driving. I didn't drive the car during the remaining part of the day after I made it home. After driving 10 to 15 minutes the next day, the CEL turned off. Still worried, I went ahead and had a local mechanic scan for codes and P2195 came back. He said that I needed to replace the O2 sensor. Is Acuraoemparts.com the best site to order the sensor from? Also, which of the sensors does the code refer to? Thanks for the help!

Drifting
According to my service manual, 2195 is the rear sensor and 2197 is the front sensor. For my other car, I bought the oxygen sensor from Napa, for half the price of the dealer. If you do that, just make sure you don't get a universal one. The one I got was a Bosch unit that looked exactly like the OEM one. Be sure to drop by Napa and at least get an oxygen sensor removal socket for your wrench, that will make your life easier when trying to remove the sensor, which will most likely be rusted on....

Did he check the O2 sensor if it was working correctly?
Hopefully, they will have an O-Scope to check it.
The O2 before the Cat should be toggling and the one after should be near flat line.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the help both of you. SpiderX, I didn't ask him specifically if he checked to see if it was working correctly. I know for sure that he checked the code that was being given out and that was what was read.

Scan tools are a starting point, further diagnosis is needed after.

I had my check engine light on for my 04 TL (64k) on for the last few thousand miles. It was on and off and first and then just stayed on. I had the code read and it was the O2 or oxygen sensor in the front (bank 1). aparently there are two in the front and 2 in the back of the car by the exhuast. I thought I could change it myself...didn't work cuz it was in a tight spot. I had it done by a local mechanic and that was a waste of time cuz the new sensor has to marry up to the powertrain control module. simple solution is to take it to the dealer. cost 410 but they always fix it right the first time and the problem is gone. stupid regulator on the my driver side window was out too so they fixed that too. got an 'employee discount' on that one so it was 200 even. went to pohanka acura in northern virginia. They gave me a new TL as a loaner although the styling is still not sitting with me..the ride is silky smooth and the electronics are great. definitely handles better than 04 TL cuz of wider stance and wider tires. very supportive seats as well.
