Fuel filler mouth damage

Recently my 05 TL came up with a message on the information center for "check fuel cap". The seal around the cap appears to be fine and there are no check engine codes. Upon inspection I noticed what I believe is damage to the fuel filler mouth, but I'm second guessing if it was always like this. I thought there was a metal flap that covered the opening to the filler neck once you remove the cap. There appears to be an opening above it where the flap would have hinged. Can anyone confirm this? Also does anyone know a part number I would need to repair this? Thanks.

It looks like if you want to repair it with new OEM, you'll have to buy and install the 'fuel filler pipe' (#12 on the link below )

If there is a local salvage yard near you with an 05TL, you might be able to find one on car-part.com for cheaper.

Thanks alot for the prompt reply. I wasn't sure if I was losing my mind or if that flap fell into the tank. I'll look into both options
