front lug nut

one of my front lug nuts broke off. I can still partially screw in the nut and tighten it. I can't find a DYI on acurazine. I saw some post on youtube calling for shaving the bolt and cutting out the back plate so as not to pull the bearing. Any tips on 2004 TL AT.

This is called a stud and is usually not a big deal to remove and replace. I have not done it on the TL, but usually just requires hammering the stud out and using the lug nut to seat the stud.

Is there enough clearance for the stud to come out on the TL?

I have done this many times on TL's. It's pretty easy. It is a tight fit, but it'll come out with a hammer. when putting back in you cant hammer it because the tightness will bend some of the threads. Shave off a couple mm of the edge on the stud head to clear the hub.
