I just finished a 2500 mile road trip and my 246k TL has started making a clanking noise when parked and driving slowly. When parked, I can replicate it my turning the steering wheel slightly either direction until it pops/clanks. It's a very metallic sound, like the rotor/brake dust cover is loose but they're not. The noise only happens when the car is on the ground. All the ball joints and tie rods look good and the steering rack bushings look good. Looks can be deceiving! I'd leave nothing to chance. Get it checked by a professional.
