Anyone have problems w/ the front brakes squeaking on the new TL? It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it occurs at low speeds right before coming a full stop. I have the high performance tires and brakes. I've had my car 2 weeks and it's done it about 10-15 times. Any suggestions? thanks,

 

I remeber either reading here, or some one may have told me that this does happen with high performance brake pads. I have the brembos on my car and it will do that sometimes.

 

Yes! They squeak. It's normal. I've 6MT and it does at low speed when you're driving in bumper-to-bumper.

 

The only time I recall my tires squeaking is when I start it up and pull out (going forward usually). I tap the break to check if anyone is coming around the corner and it squeaks all the way out. I haven't noticed it coming to a stop after the brakes and the car have warmed up. I have about 3800 miles on my car... I'll keep an eye... err... ear out for the noise to see if it occurs when I slow down. But I usually have my XM cranked, so I don't know if I'd notice.

 

I only have 150 miles on my 6MT and the front brakes squeek REALLY loud when in bumper to bumper traffic. I was hoping it was just the newness of the pads.

 

I've noticed mine squeak more if the wheel is turned -- like when I'm pulling into my driveway or parking.

 

The breaks squeak for me too. i'm in the bay area also (concord). has anyone with the same problem taken the car into acura yet and seen what the problem is? 6mt.

I also have the same problem, but then again, there isn't a problem w/ the car that I haven't had yet.... anyways, I brought mine to the dealer last week to do something about it, they said that the pads needed some molycote grease, they put it on and it was ok, till the next morning when it was squeaking again.

I have another appointment for friday, I'll keep u guys updated.

 

my front brakes have squeaked for 34000 miles...low speeds, high speeds...pretty much all the time. i am putting on new pads this thursday (rotex kevlar shit or something) and so i will update on brake noise when that gets done.

 

just finished with the rotex pad install. no squeaks, though i havent done a lot of driving. when the brembos were in, though, squeaks from day one so i am enjoying a break from that.

 

there is a service bulletin about this involving reformulated pads + resurfacing rotors-
