Fog Light lenses

I have an 08 TLS, AT. I live in the Boston area. After last winter I noticed I had a cracked lense on one of my fog Lights.
Dealer wanted $500 for the unit, can't replace the lenses even though the lights still work. At the dealer the other day and the parts guy says he sell me the fog light unit for $390.00. Dealer wanted $180 to take off the bumper and replace the unit.
Mechanic noticed the other fog light has a crack in it. I have decided to fix the problem after the winter. I need my bumper painted from road salt damage. Any ideas on a cheaper fix for the fog lights? No, I'm not moving, I like shitty weather and high taxes.

I just replaced my passenger side fog light this week on my 07 TL-S. I ordered a used OEM fog light housing off ebay for $100 and installed it myself. Once the bumper is off, the fog light housing is just screwed into that with 3 screws. Had the bumper off, new housing and new Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs installed, and the bumper back on in under an hour.

Give this a look not OEM but an OE replacement.

I bet DEPO would work well since he is replacing both. If they weren't an exact match to the factory, they would still match each other. On ebay I think pairs could be had for maybe $230 IIRC.

I'll probably go with the DEPO fogs as soon as I find someone who wants my retrofitted fogs. If you're interested, I'll take your cracked fogs and you can have mine.
Worth a try anyways.

The link is in the 3G garage for how to remove the bumper. I'll admit this was my quickest time, as I've now had it off 3 times in about 6 weeks, so I don't even need the video anymore. It's pretty basic stuff to get it off, just gotta be careful when actually prying it out of the tensioners at the end.
