Hey guys, so I figure since I'm trying to diagnose a few problems with this car I might as well ask a few more questions and try to figure out what's going on with this car. Here's my problems...


1. I've got engine whine that is there immediately when pressing the gas. It increases with RPM's, as in higher pitched and will go away immediately when letting off the gas. Would this have anything to do with the transmission?? Honestly...I hope so b/c I feel like this place didn't build my transmission correctly and now they're saying they won't pay for the 3/4th pressure switches...even though they didn't replace them and that's what it needs!


2. I'm getting pretty bad vibration around 60mph. My passenger seat moves so much that I can hear it and look over and see it swaying about 1/2" side to side. I've done some searching on here and it seems like it could possibly be the engine mounts. If it is, looks like there's front, side & rear mounts...not sure of how many of each though. I don't think I'd be able to do it myself so YAY for spending MORE money!!

Roughly how much is it to replace the mounts? I know it'll vary...but just a rough estimate of how many hrs it'll "should" take a shop to do it and if you happen to know the cost of all mounts total and after tax from our vendors...that'd be great too! haha. I'll add that up


Had the car for 1yr and 4months, put 14K miles on it and I've had to replace the transmission, looking at a cracked dash every day (not a huge deal but still...that's sad Acura), multiple interior lights out & other various things. Not too sure I'll be going Acura next time around, but I won't just there just yet. Thanks for all the help guys! I appreciate it

 

I just ordered all 3 mounts(out of state vendor-no tax), and I believe all 3 were close to $260. Haven't received yet, and hope it isn't an arm & leg for install. I have a mechanic friend who will be helping/doing.
