Faint brake noise

I did a search but most of what I found was about brake upgrades or whatever. What I'm wondering is if the pads on my 07 TLS may need to be replaced? The only time I hear the noise at all is when I'm exiting the interstate and first apply the brakes...I hear a very faint and brief squeaking noise. It is literally just for a second. I never hear it otherwise.

I know pads are not covered under warranty, but I just got my car as a CPO a month ago, so I'm thinking the dealership will cover the cost. I just want to make sure this isn't normal for the Brembo brakes before I make yet another trip for service. The car has 27K miles on it by the way.

The pads are probably just getting low enough for the wear indicator to scrape the rotor and for you to hear it from time to time. I have heard of people going through brakes in 20K. The stock brembos wear quickly. It could possibly be dust but i'm thinking that the pads are at the beginning of their last legs.

I probably wouldn't waste my time going to the dealer but that's just me. The pads could have been on the outer edge of CPO specs and they just passed maybe

Check your wear indicator. It is clearly visible and easy to see how much material is left on the pad. If the indicator is contacting the rotor, it will make a sound and it's time to replace the pads.

+1.. I don't think it's the wear indicator.. it would be almost constant and it's loud.. not a tiny brief squeak. My neighbor's pads are toast.. everytime he drives off is like scraping chalk on a chalkboard.. *shivers down spine*

I would still check the pads.. maybe even take them out and put a little crc anti-squeak on the back of the pad where it contacts the caliper.
