Engine ticking noise

This is a bit weird, but my new 06 TL 6spd is brand new, and it made this noise from the moment I picked it up. On a cold engine at low RPM's there's this ticking noise, or smthg else, not sure how to describe it, from the passenger side of the engine compartment. Once engine warms up, it really disappears... Anyone with similar experience?

It's just the engine warming up. I always make sure I warm up my car before taking off in order for the oil to circulate and everything is running smoothly. It could also be the fact that it's new, and just breaking in.

I had the same problem too. But the ticking getting worse if the car travel long distance. I drove my car from LA to SF. By the time I got there, the noise is very noticeable. I took the car to the dealer, they said that they heard nothing.

What engine oil are you using ? How many miles have you driven since your last oil change ?

It is somewhat common for oil to make the engine noisey as the car get's close to it's next oil change. Happened to my '03 RL. I would have noticable valvetrain ticking at idle. Changed the oil. No more ticking.
