its normal

 

Is it normal for Vtec engines? I compare the engine noise with a Honda Accord V6 and the Honda sounds a little bit smoother.
I wasn't even paying that much attention, until a friend who just bought a Lexus IS told me that his engine sounds much smoother.
Now, I really hate the sound at idle. It sounds like a cheap and worn out engine. Anything we can do to make it less horrible (syntetic oil may be?)
I've been using Chevron 91, and now I am thinking about changing to Shell or a higher octane.

 

I went to see a mechanic today and the noise was bc of a loose spark plug. They tightened it up and the noise went away. Hm, don't know about cars that much. But I am surprised noone even mentioned it here, and the noise sounded just like in the video.

Paid $23 to fix it.
