Engine code P145C

Hey everyone, I'm new to this Acura forum and glad to join this community. I have a 2007 Acura TL Type S 6 speed. I recently changed evap purge valve I bought from Amazon for about 74 bucks. I noticed that the tighten fuel cap sign doesn't come on anymore but I do have a check engine light code P145C. Any tips where to start from? Thank you!

After doing some research, I just went ahead and bought OEM part from Acura warehouse and will try that out. I'll keep posted

Hi,
I have both codes P0443 and this P145C... what was your solution?
Is this critical?
I've had about for 2 months intermittently... (either check gas cap light OR check engine light)

I replaced evap purge control valve with oem part and am still getting P145c (and P0497 and P3400). Idled for a few minutes, drove in stop and go for a few minutes and then idled again for a few minutes. No black smoke from exhaust though, but still a rough idle and struggling on small hills.

To the shop

I took it to the shop and they replaced the variable valve timing oil pressure switch (bank 1 only). After addressing gas cap and purge solenoid, this vv timing oil pressure switch seemed to be the root cause. Work was done in November, driving habits and destinations have not changed and no issues since them. Check engine emissions light has not batted an eyelash since then.

Good luck. Do what work you can, but if in any doubt, go to your trusty shop.

Also, try to buy OEM, imo.

Best!

That sounds about right.

Shops typically charge $100-$200 to book 1-2 hours of diagnostics. Just make sure it's a good shop and that they stand by their diagnosis.
