Engine Code: P0141B - O2 Sensor... Which One?

Hey fellow CLers... So my buddy calls me this morning and goes "I finally found a diagnostic computer I can borrow, swing by the shop" so I ran over there first thing this morning.

I got the following: "P0141B O2 Sensor B1 S2 Htr Malf"

Obviosuly it's something to do with the O2 Sensor, but what? Anyone ...

Much abliged for any help with this, and yes, I did hit the search button with the engine code, there was nada.

WOW, no replies...

Well I decided to call the dealer... I was told that it is the second O2 Sensor, and I do remember some discussion about it in prior posts... BUT... my mechanic says it may not be the second O2 sensor, since it sits behind the CAT and that could be damaged and giving the wrong readings...

So I guess it's a guessing game; change the CAT or change the sensor

I'm thinking of changing for a High Flow CAT but then I also remember a post with mixed opinions about a High Flow isn't so great and that we should keep the original design CAT... any further thoughts anyone?

Get a new o2 sensor and highflow cat, have the second o2 sensor drilled into the highflow cat, and kill 2 birds with one stone
