ECU reset through drive by wire system?

With my old car (an '02 maxima), I could reset the ecu by pressing on the accelerator in a specific manner without having to unplug the battery from the car and losing all my settings.

Is this possible with the 3gen tl? If so, what is the procedure?

On gen2 cars you pull the "backup clock fuse" not to be confused with the regular clock fuse

Disconnect that for 5 minutes ( maybe less) and you should be cleared in the ECU

radio settings and such- I have no idea

Not that i know of, your best bet is to just disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds.

if my memory serves me right, the way to do it via gas pedal is to hold it down to the floor while off for about 30 seconds, then to turn the car on and rev to 3k rpm.

This is a pretty old thread that I found but...if this method does work, how do you confirm that the ECU is reset?
