I just got a 2005 TL and love the overall car. But every time i get up to highway speed i can hear a echo in the car other than the outside wind. Its like a low bass sound that isn't consent.

Just wondering if anyone has experience anything like this.

 

You might want to check your tires, it sounds like they maybe cupped on the inside edge.

 

Cupping like ^^^ he said, or it could also be that your on the tail end of life on your tires. The closer you get to those steel belts, the louder it gets inside the cabin. And yes the noise is bassy.

Search on one of the TSB's posted by Ron A for "droning" sound while in 5th gear, low rpms. This may be what you are experiencing.

 

Left side drive cv axle? Low humb'ing echo, wobble sound? I got this annoying sound after many attempts to fix problem techs says driver cv axle. Just FYI

If one of your back windows is partway open you'll get tremendous air pressure vibration.
