Problems from Accident...will Acura?
Problems from Accident...will Acura?
I'm just gonna say it, I got into another accident. In all honesty, I'm not sure what's going on. The accident was NOT my fault; however, the other car fled the scene. I'd rather not get into details...let's just say that I couldn't catch/ keep up with the guy. Damage is to the driver's side fender, wheel, bumper, headlight. The steering wheel is about 55 degrees off from it's straight, normal position. The left wheel most certainly cannot be fixed with an alignment...definitely broke something behind the wheel (control arm, etc.)
THE QUESTION: Do Acura dealerships charge any sort of service fee for taking care of fixing/repairing the car? I've seen plenty of accident-ridden cars @ Lynnwood...they do great work. It seems care free for the customer. Anyone with experience? Don't have the nerve, patience, or stomach to deal with it myself

If you are asking if you can get insurance claim work done at the dealer, yes, but it will cost you the difference of what ever they estimate the repairs would cost to fix at one of their recommended shops...and that won't be the dealership.
Front end parts are intimidating but not that bad to replace. You could replace all the control components on the left side and then get it aligned at a good place. Did the shock/mount get damaged, too?
I might have sent a few hollow points that dudes way if he tried bolting after smashing my car. What a pussy.

Damn Erick from all yours post seems like you have 9 lives and your using them up. Sorry to hear about your car man. Did you get a make, model and color of the car? OR if you could just remember a couple of the license plate number they can probably search it. Chances are this person didn't have insurance.

but believe me man, i chased after that mother trucker as best as i could, but i honestly couldn't keep up. i wouldn't think a nice audi wouldn't be insured...the driver looked like he was older, definitely not a little kid...
i have 6 more lives left!
i have the worst luck with my TL

The OP should check with his insurance company before rejecting the dealer body shop out of hand. In the Louisville area the body shops of the Neil Huffman Group (which includes a Honda dealership and the only local Acura dealership) are well regarded by auto insurance carriers. I had 2 insurance repairs to my Accord and 1 to my TL done by them at insurance company expense. If he elects to pay out of pocket, of course it's a different story.
