E-Brake Lever Wonky?

Just wondering if my E-Brake lever is normal.

It's been this way ever since I had the car. I just recently started using the E-Brake when parking my car.

As you can see through these pictures, the lever is over the passenger side console trim.

Shouldn't it go straight up and down? not all wonky to the passenger side?

Also, see the part of the leather that looks dulled?
Is there any way I can cover that up?

In the picture above you can see a bulge on the driver side (noted in the red dot). This part seems to be in its track (straight)? The bulge feels like a metal part under the leather.

Any tips?

Thanks!

Seems to be =(

look how straight the ebrake is:
no signs of curves or bends just straight up and down

but then looking at this picture it seems curved:

hmm...i'll have to look at mine.

GP16-your trim pieces...look...a little rough. just sayin' the rough patch on the boot...just a random idea you could try black shoe polish. or get one of those custom leather boot covers that one of the vendors was selling.

Thanks!

Pictures would be good too heheh

Yeah the trim pieces are rough =(
Came with the car (I've only had this car for like a year and a half out of it's 7 years old LMAO).
Might wrap it in 3M vinyl in the future.

Thanks for the tip about the patch.

I don't know if shoe polish would work because there's no leather on the patch (I think the leather worn off - that's why I see what's underneath the leather)
I was thinking maybe using nail polish to hide it haha
