The filler hole is not that small. It is about 0.75 inch across. I just bought a long neck black funnel at Walmart and it works fine.

There you go. It's something like that one. You should be able to get it at any parts place or Walmart.

I take it this is the first time you are doing this.

You should make sure you get an extra quart of fluid. I have done it twice and both times I drained 3.5 quarts. And get a new washer. It is very easy to do. Did the last one on Monday. It really improved my shifting.

I just fill it up using the dipstick hole. I put a turkey baster in the dipstick hole and then put in a skinny longer funnel into that and fill er' up.

3 quarts is what drains out on mine and I've drained it about 8 times now.

I probably won't be using the turkey baster this Thanksgiving

Check level before you start. If you are within the range then refill what you drain out. I stopped mine about 0.5 short and checked the level. I ended up adding the extra 0.5.

BTW....the name's Ravi....not ravin.

Seems like a PITA. The fill plug is really not that hard to get to.

Cool. Just don't jam the hose down inside the tranny and watch that the end does not come out of the hole when filling.

Wow....jam the hose down inside the tranny....that sounded gay.

i noticed there is an ATF filler plug not too far away from the dipstick, but it looks too much pain in the ass to take off due to the limited space

It is very easy. All you have to do it move the upper fuse box. To do that there are 2 bolts and a clip. Once you move that use a 12 inch extension, a 17mm socket and a breaker bar to loosen it. Pretty sure it is a 17mm.

Reach down with your hands to remove the bolt and the washer. Be careful with the washer.

Start to finish....5 minutes. And that includes taking a sip of beer.

How is that a PITA? In less than 10 seconds the turkey baster with funnel is in the dipstick hole.

My method is quicker AND allows me to drink 3 of your beers.

I like the way you drink my friend. I have done the 1x3 a couple times now using the fill bolt and no issues.
