Make it so
I have the exact same problem, so I've been researching it over the last few days.
The problem is that either the connection to the door actuator is loose, or the motor inside the door actuator has gone bad itself.
Here's a few threads that will help you:
Talking about this specific problem:

DIY for the replacement of the actuator itself:

Wow! Its crazy when people are experiencing the same problem you are. I just look at this last weekend on my passenger door behind the driver side. Great post. I will check out the links. Might fix this weekend. Thanks.

My driver door lock wouldn't go up or down w/ the remote replaced the actuator motor & that was it only took about 30~45mn just take the door panel off slowly from the bottom up....have y'all not tried replacing the little motor; its fairly cheap unless I missed something...

Aired Out TLS
Ok, so Im going through the same problem. Passenger front door will not lock or unlock. Or open at all.
I did open the door using the trick where you pull up on the lock knob then pull the outer door handle then door opens. Now the trick doesn't seem to open the door anymore.
I know how to take the door panel off , and have a new door lock actuator that I need to replace but cant open the dam door.
I also replaced the inner door handle rod already.
Also my key fobs are retarded battery dies only after a month of new battery, I can only lock and unlock by using the key in the key hole. Going to try using the key fob to unlock then do the lock knob open trick.
If that doesn't work im thinking of taking the car to the Acura dealer a maybe calling a car door specialist.
*Please no smart ass comments about searching and Google ive already tried looking up this fix* Come on Acurazine help me out !

^You're gonna have to keep playing with it. At this point it seems to me the handle cable behind the panel must have snapped, therefore preventing you from actually opening the door OR it wasn't secured correctly when you replaced it. Not just unlocking it which was your original problem and is completely seperate from your door no longer opening.

Old thread I know!
I hear the motor/actuator working within the door. (I believe) rear drivers side, doesn’t unlock from fob or switch inside car. Plan to take the panel off to check if any connections are loose. I had the windows retinted last October, and hadn’t noticed any issues until recently. Why are the rear door actuators Soo much more expensive than the fronts?
