Door Lock issue

I have a 2004 Acura tl, I've read that the actuator is usually the problem and changed it also checked the fuses too. After a day of changing my actuator my door was not able to lock again.

theres a brand new actuator installed in there, Acura told me it cost $55 just to diagnose what is wrong. i just don't know what is wrong and what to do next.

Hi Mikeng,

There's already a thread about if you look down a bit. Anyways, while inside the car with the doors closed, try pressing the door panel lock button and the lock button on the key fob at the same time. It worked for me. If that doesn't work, try pressing the memory key on the door panel first, either 1 or 2 depending on the key you use.

My car would lock during random times. For example my commute to school it would lock and then it randomly stops working. I tried the two methods you've mentioned and it still doesn't work. Perhaps anyone know what is wrong?

It's only a temporary fix for me. The lock failed again for me today. What I tried was spamming the unlock and lock button on the door panel and pressing the lock button on my key fob at the same time. Eventually it started to lock again. After getting it to work, I exercised it by continuously pressing the unlock and lock on the door panel a few times.
