Door Handle Please Help

The Leather door handle on the 04 TL

So as im washing the car, I open to vacuum the carpets and wipe the interior I noticed that my door handle is coming off and I look behind it and notice all that yellow stuff has been ripped from that metal black piece. I have no idea how to place it back in so that it is flush with the car lines but at the moment I am waiting for my epoxy glue to dry up and maybe that can be the fix.

Please let me know what to do. I hate blemishes

I had the same issue on the passenger side door panel, the dealer cleaned it and reglued it, however it didn't work so they just ordered a new handle and put that on the old door panel.

I see, well so far Ive tried epoxy and now trying leather glue. If and only if all else fails I will take it to the dealer, but they already jumped the gun and told me they are going to replace it with a new part.

How did the dealer know about your issue?
