Dent in Rear Fender Crease...

This was done to my car in a Parking lot even though I park my car as far away from others to avoid door dings and the such. Guess I did not park far enough away.... A body shop told me it would be over $600 to fix because it located on the crease about an inch from the lip of the fender. Does anyone know if a dent repair shop (dent pro) can fix this? Or should I avoid those places all together... Any help would be appreciated.

The dent is too big and deep for PDR (paintless dent repair). This will need body work and paint.

I would consult with a paintless dent removal tech. I think if biggier then 5 inches they will recommend body work. The part that sucks is the crease. They maybe able to pull it, but you might see slight waves and the crease may not be as smooth. If they can it will be significantly less then 600.

My Mom's SUV had a softball size dent on the rear quarter and it was on a crease not as defined as where yours is, but it was pulled. You can't really see it, but you have to know where to look and only can see it an angle. The crease came out fine as well. No one that knew there was a dent previously took notice either, couldn't even tell.

Had the same dent in my 06 TL, cost about 400-600 to get it reworked and painted. No way it could be rework via the dent puller magic since it was on a crease.

Good luck

Do not go to the body shop some of the Paint less dent remover guys work some magic. I swiped the whole side of my car against the garage divider, and a body shop quoted me $1500. They also recommended me consulting with a PDR remover, and I'm glad i did. It cost me $250 and you can not tell whatsoever there was ever damage on the side of the car. The only thing i notice is at certain times of the day you can notice a little more orange peel in the paint where the dents were pulled out. Trust me in that Picture you have that would nothing for them.

Looks a little too big for dent removal but it never hurts to ask

what ever happened to do it yourself. I had an estimate of 5500.00 , I went on learned the basics. Did the repairs myself and saved thousands.

You'll never DIY unless your skilled with the full body shop capabilities on a color like his. Even then shops have trouble matching colors at times.

I was pretty bent when I got the dent in my 06 but it sure was nice when I got it back repaired. I diligently park in what my kids cal the "Acura Approved Parking" way out in the back of the lots but still got whacked in the same place. Really Sucks!

Good luck.

Why? That doesn't make any sense.

Barnash... any updates on your dent repair.. could definitely use some advice. Unfortunately I recently noticed a similar dent on my fender well, covering the crease, but its much smaller, probably around an 1.5 inch in diameter.

the reason why is because that specific area on 3g TLs is filled with glue and it double panel for the most part. you can try glue pulling it to make it look smaller, but you cant put a tool behind it. Any thing from that point and lower i believe.

you mean you need engrish transration.. let me see if I can help:

In English:

the reason why is because that specific area on 3g TLs is filled with glue and it double panel for the most part. you can try glue pulling it to make it look smaller, but you cant put a tool behind it. Any thing from that point and lower i believe.

Engrish Transration:

In 3g TLs that the area where specifies the adhesives and why with it coming to fill in two times commission most is a because, reason. You sees in it, being smaller and in order to make will be able to attempt the adhesives which pulls it, you who inclination fall but put the tool on rear of it. Believes what kind of thing from the point and lowers.

Understanding now is useful?
