are you talking about the glue residue? Some simple soap and water should do it.

it has so many uses. rubbing and polishing...

i would start with polishing first... if that doesnt work, then go with rubbing. rubbing is a bit more abrasive

i use it on my car often because theres a lot of oxidization when I got the car. It is 5 years old after all. At first I bought it because of the debadge, then I start using it on the door handles, under the side markers, anywhere else that looks dirty.

I used goo gone and scratch-x. I found it looked like it was gone, but when the dust settled on it I could see the shadow. It took me a couple of tries with both.

Be very careful when venturing here .. "Rubbing Compound" is a very broad term and has got a lot of people in trouble .. especially the TW stuff.

Your better off to try something like ScratchX on a soft cloth and use a little patience.

I have repaired more than one "Rubbing Compound" adventure and its not cheap.

Here is one example of someone taking the "Rubbing Compound" advice;

WD40 does the trick and will not leave any marks like polishing compounds or goo-gone...

I just used a good wax. Clean it up and wax it, its semi abrasive so it takes the marks right out.

What wax .. it would help a lot if you guys were a little more specific in your suggestions.. I know lots of "good" waxes and most aren't abrasive.

I used googone, alcohol, soap and water and the outline would not come out. I had to pull out the Porter Cable and buff it out.

I have used the bug & tar remover and I have also used Goof-off.
Be careful & patient when using any of these products. Use at your own risk.

I got a cotton ball w/ wd-40 and taped on for 5 minutes. Came off w/ no traces of glue left. Then i used some spay on wax and it looks perfect.no "ghost" letters left either....

from all the times i've done this..
goo gone and some decent wax. use a few coats if necessary and some decent elbow grease and you'll get that paint blended.
fwiw i wouldn't use very corrosive chemicals or hardcore detailing products for something that is relatively trivial to do in aspects of detailing and such..
