I knew the batteries were a problem. So when I traded my TSX in for the TL-S I swappted batteries. My sales person even helped me. I had a yellowtop Optima battery in the TSX. Before driving off I switched batteries. No problems with the yellow top. I had the yellowtop for about 6 months before the swap. Good luck.

Its warranty- call the dealer and ask them to send the tow truck- as you are not a mechanic and have no tools~

Call Acura roadside and have them come get it. Should have no problems under warranty i.e. unless you did some crazy ass mod that they are going to attribute the battery failure to.

Call TLC. They will tow your TL to Acura at no charge.

I had my battery replaced for free at 22 months. Too bad they put in another crap battery. I don't expect to get another 2 years out of this one since I travel alot and when I get home after a week it cranks slowly.

if your battery cranks slowly after only a week parked - have it tested! autozone-kragen type stores do it for free
Acura is using cheap batteries based on reported failures. Everyone cuts cost!
When they stop being free- go buy whatever you want.
Parts store brands last 3 -4 years, and with the extreme heat in the battery area-
I wont expect more than that from any brand

i was not about to have my car towed from my garage to the dealer so it could get scratched up some how....

so, i called them up and told them the problem and they said i could bring the battery in and have it swapped out...

i would have rather them bring me a new battery, but i guess at least i got a new one...

The dealer is not going to bring you a battery- get real~
Liabilty of sending a tech- insurance- lost time from shop-
be glad they will do a counter exchange for you!

When you call acura care or the dealer sends a truck- its the flatbed- nice truck- no damage
But after the new battery is in- take it to the dealer for an alternator-charging system test to see whats going on

my battery died last night. My wife and I were going to do some cruising, turned the key and got nothing but static. I called ACS but they couldn't tell me if my battery was still under warranty and that I should call a dealer. Since I'm on the East Coast and it was after 7 pm. I asked for a west coast dealer phone number. They gave me the # for Acura of Pleasanton. They told me that the battery was covered until 11/11/08 (nice!). I'm at 52K miles so I called AAA at 5:30 this morning and they told me they would be at my house within 45 min. After 20 mins I decided to try it again. Turned the key and the car started right up. I tried it 3 times with no problems except that it was cranking slower than usual. I canceled the jump service and drove to the dealer in Jenkintown (Sussman) and they replaced it for me.
