I haven’t been on here for a minute, but guess I could use yourfeedback and opinions are welcomed. I was heading home going around 40 mph thenall of sudden it felt like I hit a pot hole and my tire blew. I got out the carto see my axel hanging off and the motor still running. I had the car in neutralbut couldn’t put it in park obviously. Any who from what I could see the lower controllerarm gave out causing the axel to rip right out. I found the two bearing closeby. The tow truck came to load my car and take it to the shop, but my tire was prettymuch shoved into the fender so he request we take off the time. He was able topull the car on the bed, but didn’t secure it properly. When he was driving mycar started to roll back and the back wheel was hanging off the bed. He triedto bring the car back in but couldn’t since it was dangling. When he started todrop the tow bed my car rolled back and feel probably 4 ft high L. That really suckedand hurted me too. So two issues I know I have to fix the cv axel and lowercontroller arm. Any suggestions what else I should look at?? Frame looked fine.No leakage was coming out the tranny nor motor.. So that’s the good news. I paid the guy cash with no paperwork since hewas a buddy of my brother. Pic coming soon

 

 

 

 

 

1. Next time, hire a professional. You probably got what you paid for: some half-ass bubba who fucked up your car even worse...

2. Why did you even pay him? He dumped your car 4 ft?

3. Sounds like a lower ball joint failed, not the control arm.

 

I’m thinking of pursuing this further with my insurance. Sincemy brother was there he’s a cop and they always using the local tow company Ihad to pay something, but of course I wasn’t going to pay the full price theywanted originally was like 120.00 I believe.

 

$120 vs what? $70?

Was it worth saving $50 to watch your car fall off the back end and then get dropped 4 ft?
