Cruise Control Problem

okay so most of you have probably used the cruise control feature at least once on the freeway yea? while i was cruisin along at 65 on the freeway yesterday, i hit the cruise button and let go of the gas and i start slowing down. then i tried holding it down for a few seconds, push it simultaneously with the resume/accelerate button. i tried everything. is my cruise control button just messed up? or is there a specific way to activate it? thanks!

there are 3 buttons. one that says CRUISE, another that is SET/ACCEL and another one RESUME. First push the Cruise then push the set, that soud make you have two lights in ur dash.

You push the cruise button once. It is a toggle switch. There should be a light in the dash that says cruise. This means the cruise control system is on. It doesn't mean you have set a speed. You have to get up to the speed you want and press SET. Then you have engaged cruise control. If you have to tap the brake to slow down then you can hit resume and it will take you back to your set speed. If you want to turn the system off then you press cruise once and the light will go out.
