The other day my wife was driving and as she turned right she said it's sounded like something dropped, then a loud noise started going and steering became hard to turn. It sounds like it's coming from the power steering area and when I looked at the pulley it looks like the rubber damper is missing. I'll post a pic and if not enough info I can get a video of the sound.
I wonder how the belt's still on. Yes, there was a metal ring, the actual pulley with the grooves for the belt, on that core. And since it broke off, the belt's now driven directly by the core, with less tension, hence more difficult steering, probably no alternator, and the belt will likely go soon too.
Yea just checking, definitely will get changed out just have to find a local shop that will do install. Can't find any shops around here that will do install only.
