Cracked/Dry Rotted Tranny Mount?!?!

Went to do a AT oil pressure swicthes and found this under my intake tube.

Im sure this was the cause of this also..
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/cracked-broken-intake-tube-858782/

My guy at the dealer says the mount will prolly be covered under CPO powertrain and said that it most likely did cause the cracked intake tube but he didnt think they would give me any kind of credit. Anyways they dont have a loaner until tuesday so we'll see. I just find it hard to believe that rubber could crack like that after only 60K mi and 5 years.

Being that your transmission mount is cracked like that, you may want to check out your front engine mount, side mount, and rear engine mount. From what I've been told is that usually these mounts tend to go out in sequence. Usually the front ones get weak, then the side mount. If front breaks then it will put all the stress on side to rear and soon as those get broken then I believe it will be the tranny mounts going bad.

Good point.. I will definately bring that up at the dealership. My 2G TL had engine mount problems as well...

Well the dealership changed the tranny mount and said all the other mounts were ok. LOL the service writer called me and said it was time for a coolant flush. I told him why? He tells me if I have never done it then I should. I explained to him that the Honda Long Life coolant (20 bucks a gallon) is good till the 105K miles service and that there is nothing in the factory repair manual that calls for a change half way. He just says ok... well you need new tires. These guys are funny.

Honda Long-Life Type-2 coolant is specified for 5yrs/60k miles on the bottle. I replaced mine @ 5.5yrs/102k miles and didn't see any corrosion.

honestly the transmission mount doesnt make a huge difference, the front and rear motor mounts makes the biggest difference, if those go out you WILL feel it.
