[Problem] Very weird problem when attempting to turn on the car. everything rests

Hey all,

I have a very weird problem that happened 4 times since yesterday.

(I changed my battery 2 months ago.)

I get in the car put the key in and nothing is working, the lights dont come on on the dashboard (speedometer and rev) the clock is 100% off (usually you can see it faintly) i turn all the way to the third click, nothing, no noise signaling that its turning on, absolutely nothing. I press the lock unlock button, nothing happens.

Im confused, so i put the key in the ignition one more time, and leave it on the first click, after a few seconds, all the light turn on, i can turn on the vehicle (no noise to speculate its a battery issue, also the radio works, no need for the code), but that's not the weird part, everything has been rest, the clock is at 1:00. all stats are erased (how much i drove, etc etc) the odometer is fine, even my AC was changed it was on 80 degrees, then on LOW.

me putting it in the ignition and click one, wasn't anything specially, i tried replicating the problem but couldn't.

What is going on here?
-not a tight enough battery
-Fuse problem

Sincerely,

Two likeliest issues:
Either loose clamp(s) on the battery (usually happens w/ the negative side, IIRC), or corrosion of the cables (check backwards from each battery clamp; the positive cable is more of a PIA to remove and replace).

Otherwise, ignition switch.

G/L.

Thank you, i will tighten the battery and check the clamps.

I'm surprised that its from the battery (the radio code didn't come up, and everything got rest)
