Corrosion on bolts and motor

These are pictures from under the hood of my 04 TL
Are the corrosion exhibited in the picture normal and not detrimental to the vehicle. The white fuzzy deposits on the motor is that fine would it affect the durability of these components. The power steering reservoir is greasy, the service dept at the dealership thinks it is normal.

Mother Nature's fine work. It's not going to hurt anything.

To answer your question, nothing to worry about.

You should look at a brand new Scion, all their engine castings look horrible right from the assembly line...

Normal, could be worst depending on where you live. You should see engine bays or the underside of cars from NY!

This is nothing more than oxidation due to enviromental conditions. It obviously impacts alumunium to a greater extent than painted steel and if you live North salt from the roads will make it much worse.

maybe try getting an engine bay clean for that P/S reservoir (along with the rest of the bay) (assuming some mileage by the looks of the wiring loom; but not too many though; as far as a shot out of the blue; i would say somewhere around 75k miles?)

but still considering the fact; that rust is actually not that bad at all either, especially considering the year; also i am assuming you are somewhere down in the dirty south; again by the looks of the engine bay (or maybe the north west)
