Copied key now stuck in ignition! =[

Hey guys,

So my dad made a copy of the acura key.. and he tried starting the car with it, and guess what... not only did it NOT start, the key is also STUCK in the ignition... when he finally called me, i told him that every acura key has a CHIP in it so it wont start without it... so i had to drive all the way to him and try to fix it.. nothing worked, we were about to give up and just leave the car in the parking lot, when i tried one last thing. I put the real acura key next to the ignition, and thank god the car started, we managed to get the car back home. Now we are stuck with the issue of having the copied key stuck in the ignition.

What do you guys suggest we do?

Yeah, there's no brilliant idea coming to mind right now. As Vin04TL said, maybe driving it to Acura Stealership would be the best route. Atleast you can drive it.

surgically install the chip into your hand and have the first keyless persay acura, while leaving the chipless key in the ignition

It sounds more like an electromechanical lock then the key being stuck.

try unplugging the battery or remove the steering column covers & unplug the switch connector to remove the key

If you can drive it, just drive it to the dealership and have them look at it.
