Unhappy Console Bulb Replacement

Hey guys,

I recently took out my radio to replace the bulbs as they've all gone out for some reason. I picked up some bulbs from Acura a couple months ago since not all my lights were out and have some more on the way. However, after replacing the 3 that I have, they still do not light up. Is there something I'm missing here? All I did was pop the old bulbs out and put the new ones in, turning them with a screwdriver. I've read that there are "positive" and "negative" on them but I did both orientations to no avail. How do I know which side is positive? What am I missing here?

Edit: I keep trying to find info on this but all that ever comes up is the LED conversion... I just want the OEM bulbs to work

OEM bulbs are standard filament bulbs - it's just a piece of wire that gets so hot that it glows - for those orientation doesn't matter. No 'positive' or 'negative' here.

If they all went out at the same time, something else is wrong. I mean what is the chance that all bulbs burned in the same time?

Does any interior lighting works? Like seat heaters, roof console, etc. Does side markers and tail lights work when you turn on the headlights?

Thanks for the reply. From what I know everything else works. At first it was only 3 lights burn out, but now they are all out. All other lights in and on the car are functioning. Only the 8 bulbs for the climate control section are out.

Then take all the bulbs out, and leave only one known good bulb in. If it doesn't light up, the controller in the climate control must went bad.

Noted. I’ll try that today. Unfortunately I don’t have a garage so I have to wait till it gets dark
