There's two lights out on my center console and I've been researching for a couple days on the parts now. I plan on replacing them myself but I can't seem to pin point exactly what I need. I found the corresponding part number "74" and was about to pull the trigger on these but not sure if they're the right ones. It's for an 07 base model if that matters.
I just gave the thing a small thump and the passenger light came back on and went back off after a second thump. Is this a sign that it's just a bad connection and the bulbs need to be adjusted?
You can buy cheaper ones, leds on eBay but the britghness is different.
Thanks for the tip. Do you know if the ones I linked on Amazon are the same size? Or are these the only ones I can work with? I’ve seen the LED conversion and it all seems too bright for me.
The ones you linked at Amazon are not correct. The bulbs used in the dash and console buttons are T3 neo-wedge.
As mentioned above, if you go to the trouble of accessing these, you should plan on replacing every bulb and not just the ones that are out. It would be a good opportunity to swap them for LEDs, however, I have not been satisfied with the look of commercially available T3 LED bulbs. They all go for outrageous brightness and do not match the rest of the interior lighting.
That's my issue as well. I don't like the brightness that the LED conversion seems to push out as well as people having problems with hot spots. I assume OEM parts are my best bet eg. ~$4 per bulb? Would it be just as easy to get the parts from Acura themselves or cheaper to find a third party?
Yes but you guys have all that extra cash that you save from not having to pay for health care. At least that’s what they tell us. So buy the bulbs. Lol
