Code in navi.

Ok..well just bought 08tl-s about going on 2 weeks ago..kinda wasn't planing on it because
I was lookin at another car and wasn't as nice lol..
Well I found out about week later that in navi, it stored messages.
Well I thought it was kinda like a c.e.l...

But from what I searched up.
That c.e.l. isn't on.and I guess it was on at one point..
And when the c.e.l. is thrown, these codes get stored in the navi.(I'm guessing)

I kinda found a way to clear them but it says I have to reactivate acura link..
And to do this I have to go online and/or a 1800 #?
Anyone know if this is difficult or do they just need basic info off you or car?
Or should I just drive to acura dealershiip and have it cleared?
Anyone know a average cost to rest this?100?200?etc.

try this and if there is a problem the message will come back, otherwise this worked for me and will you as well.

you'll need to evoke the diagnostic screen first, get in your car, turn the nav on, and hold down the "GUIDE", "MENU", and "CANCEL" buttons for about 5 seconds. the factory calibration screen will come up.

then click on XM module, and you'll see the option to erase those messages. Believe it or not the diagnostic messages are stored in XM module...dumb.

shouldn't ask you any question. you should just be able to select and delete the stored messages and have a clean slate.
